RU-N’s Program Board hosted an open mic night on November 1st, which highlighted the talents of the Rutger’s community.
This electrifying night consisted of various performances- from heartfelt poetry, to alumni rapping, to instruments and singing. There were a few covers as well, including renditions of Ribs by Lorde, Treat Me Like Somebody by Tink, Riptide by Vance Joy, and Freak the Freak Out from Nickelodeon sitcom, Victorious. Another standout performance was a freestyle viola number which captivated the audience.
Many students came to support these aforementioned talents. The crowd consistently cheered and praised the pieces performed before them. Refreshments were also served, including savory snickerdoodles and s’more cookies. Coffee, tea, and water were available as well.
Overall, Program Board’s event on Tuesday was one to remember. The supportive environment and welcoming energy all around made for a stellar night.
